The Official Release:
This continues to be an incredibly challenging period for entrepreneurs and small business owners around the world, but you continue to meet the challenge and serve customers every day. We are inspired by your efforts and want to help you be successful during these times. As announced previously, we have postponed our annual fee adjustments until June 1, 2021. To further benefit sellers, we are pleased to announce the following fee reductions and promotions for our UK and EU Amazon stores, as applicable.
Returns processing fee: Starting March 1, 2021, we will reduce the customer returns processing fee by 50% for Clothing, Shoes and Bags, and will completely remove this fee for Jewellery and Watches.
Referral fee promotion on Clothing, Shoes and Bags: The current referral fee promotion, which reduces the referral fee from 15.30% to 7.14% on the portion of total sales price greater than €45/£40 for Clothing, Shoes and Bags sold through FBA and Seller Fulfilled Prime, was originally scheduled to end on April 30, 2021. This promotion is extended until March 31, 2022.
FBA New Selection programme: Since last April, more than 20,000 of you have enrolled new-to-FBA ASINs in the programme and have qualified for applicable free storage, removal, customer returns processing and inbound benefits on eligible standard-size ASINs. In 2021, we will extend programme benefits to include both eligible standard-size and oversize ASINs, remove the 500-ASIN limit and offer promotional credits for sponsored ads to eligible sellers. For Clothing, Shoes and Bags, we will extend the free storage and removal benefits from 50 units to 100 units and increase the storage fee waiver duration from 90 days to 120 days. In addition, the free customer returns processing benefit for these categories will be extended from 120 days to 180 days and will apply to up to 20 units. The new benefits will begin on April 1, 2021. The FBA New Selection programme applies to Amazon stores in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
